Description
The TOPTICA iBeam smart WS is a wavelength-stabilized, single-frequency diode laser designed specifically for OEM integration. It combines the compact and robust architecture of the iBeam smart platform with a wavelength-stabilized laser diode, providing narrow linewidth and excellent wavelength stability for precision optical measurements.
A major advantage of the iBeam smart WS is its single-frequency operation with a narrow spectral linewidth down to the 10–20 MHz range. This makes the laser particularly suitable for applications where spectral resolution, coherence, and wavelength stability are more important than simply maximizing optical output power.
The laser is available at multiple wavelengths between approximately 405 and 850 nm, allowing users to select an appropriate wavelength according to the optical characteristics of the target application, such as absorption bands, Raman excitation requirements, or semiconductor structures.
The compact design, integrated electronics, and passive cooling make the iBeam smart WS particularly suitable for integration into OEM instruments where available space is limited. TOPTICA also offers customized electronics settings, beam shapes, and accessories to adapt the laser to different system requirements.
For applications requiring additional protection against optical feedback, an optional optical isolator can be integrated. Fiber delivery is also available through TOPTICA's SmartDock fiber coupler, while the FiberOut collimator provides a rugged solution for collimated free-space beam delivery.
The combination of narrow linewidth, wavelength stability, and compact OEM-friendly design makes the iBeam smart WS particularly well suited to high-precision applications such as interferometry, Raman spectroscopy, and diffuse correlation spectroscopy.
