Description

The RADEAGLE-Cx (RECx) is a next-generation modular Radioisotope Identification System (RIID) engineered for high-sensitivity detection across large areas and complex operational environments.

Unlike handheld RIIDs designed for single-operator use, the RADEAGLE-Cx is built as a scalable detection platform, capable of operating as:

  • A standalone detection unit
  • A networked system with multiple modules
  • A fully integrated radiation monitoring infrastructure

Its modular architecture allows users to customize detector size and sensitivity, making it ideal for applications ranging from mobile surveys to fixed security checkpoints.

At the core of the system is ORTEC’s advanced innoRIID isotope identification algorithm, which combines:

  • Template matching
  • Peak search
  • Multi-agent analysis

This hybrid approach ensures high identification accuracy while minimizing false alarms, even in challenging real-world conditions such as:

  • Shielded radioactive sources
  • Mixed isotope environments
  • Variable background radiation

A key advantage of the RADEAGLE-Cx is its Industrial IoT (IIoT) integration capability, allowing seamless communication with:

  • Command centers
  • Monitoring software
  • Existing security infrastructure

With support for REST API, MQTT streaming, and web-based interfaces, the system enables real-time data sharing and remote system control.

The RADEAGLE-Cx is particularly suited for large-scale, mission-critical radiation detection scenarios, where sensitivity, scalability, and connectivity are essential.
