Description
Our Optical-Pump THz-Probe (OPTP) Systems enable high-precision time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy, providing direct insight into ultrafast material dynamics. By exciting a sample with a femtosecond optical pump pulse and probing its response with a synchronized terahertz pulse, OPTP measurements reveal changes in conductivity, refractive index, and transmission on sub-picosecond timescales. This makes the technique ideally suited for studying charge carrier dynamics, phonons, and light-matter interactions in semiconductors, molecular systems, and advanced functional materials.
The systems combine a femtosecond pump laser with our TeraFlash pro terahertz platform, both systems being optically synchronized to ensure excellent timing stability and minimal jitter. Pump wavelengths from the UV, visible, and infrared ranges provide flexibility for a wide range of excitation schemes. An integrated delay stage allows precise control of the pump–probe timing, enabling reproducible and intuitive time-domain measurements.
With broadband terahertz detection covering approximately 0.1 to 6.5 THz at a superior dynamic range, our OPTP systems deliver reliable, non-contact, and non-destructive probing. Modular configurations and customization options allow the system to be tailored to specific experimental requirements, from fundamental research to applied material characterization.
