The Thorlabs PRM05GL5/M is a high-precision manual rotation mount assembly designed specifically for mounting and rotating 5 mm Glan-Laser or Glan-Taylor polarizers.

The assembly combines the PRM05/M high-precision rotation mount with the SM05PM5 polarizing prism mount, providing a convenient solution for precise angular adjustment of polarization optics. The SM05PM5 features external SM05 threading and is directly compatible with the PRM05/M rotation mount.

The PRM05/M provides 360° continuous coarse rotation, allowing the polarizer to be positioned at any desired azimuthal angle. Once the rotation dial is locked, the fine adjustment mechanism provides ±7° of additional rotation, enabling precise alignment without requiring the entire mount to be manually repositioned.

A direct-read 2° graduated scale is engraved around the rotation dial, while the vernier provides 10 arcmin resolution for finer angular positioning. This makes the mount particularly useful for experiments where the orientation of a polarizer must be accurately controlled or repeatedly adjusted.

The included SM05PM5 polarizing prism mount is designed for Thorlabs' GL5 and GT5 5 mm clear-aperture polarizers. Its rotating cover allows the two side ports to be blocked when they are not being used.
